Just as our vacation was ending and right on time for our 7th anniversary and 1st Father's Day, Elsie began to crawl...

For years, we enjoyed relaxing at Hilton Head--sleeping late, sunning on the sand, sunset bocce games... For the past few weeks, we enjoyed a very different breed of Hilton Head vacation thanks to Elsie--waking with the sun, keeping sand out of our mouths, and Baby Einstein winddown time on the porch. However, the sight of her splashing in the surf and screeching like a seagull made us (almost) forget old school R&R.

One of our favorite parts of vacation was having Chris, Jenn, and Alice come to HH for six days. Alice is almost two and Elsie adored her. Alice's little sister is due in a few months and so she got to practice leading the way while Elsie learned what comes next.

Besides splashing in the water and playing in the surf, there are many things Elsie enjoyed at Hilton Head: bike riding, swinging at home or at the playground, the parrots at the Salty Dog, or any activity where she got to flirt with people, especially lifeguards.
