Milestone Alert: Kit's First Steps! We have been cruising for a while now and stepping while holding hands, but this week we've moved to standing and letting go and stepping (often by accident). Check out our big girl with her new wagon from Grandpa David and Grandma Sharon--and Elsie looovves her new b'day clock from them!
Finally Fall
Fall festivals are fun! Here we are at the Salty Dog festivities last Saturday. We hope to hit more this weekend and we are on the hunt for our pumpkin!

Teeth... Finally Check it out: Look closely and you'll see Kit's bottom two teeth finally making an appearance at just over nine months--just like her sister. Better late than never, eh?
Two Girls Tub Time Here the girls are enjoying their first big-girl bath together. And it was all fun and games, until there was an evacuation of the tub immediately following our snapping these shots. Evidently, Bear didn't read the pool rules... Fortunately for you, we didn't catch that on film.

Is your Mama a Llama?
While big sister balked at feeding the goats initially, Grammy and I turned around to find Kit hanging on to a horn (antler?) with a big smile on her face. Soon enough, Elsie had the goats, donkeys, and horsies eating out of her hand while Kit settled back with a pabby to imagine a future visit with a lot less stroller and a lot more horsing around.
Grammy Time
After Johnny and Kate vacated, we welcomed Poppa, Grammy, and Rocky for a few fall break days. The weather began to turn a little toward fall, and we enjoyed all sorts of other island adventures at the Salty Dog, Harbor Town, and the Lawton Stables petting zoo. It was so much fun we went back for more this past weekend, in fact... sans Grammy, alas.
Beautiful Day, Happy Baby
Booch at the Beach
Elsie, once known as the Nug, is now the Booch as far as her dad is concerned. Here are a few portraits of her at the beach. Right now, she is enjoying crawling with her sister, but she tells us she can't WAIT to boogie board with her!
Bear at the Beach
Yes, David has nicknamed our adorable little one, Bear--to answer some questions from a few of you. We don't know why or how long it will last, but it has stuck.
Last weekend, we enjoyed lovely beach weather with the girls and Aunt Kate, Uncle Johnny, and Cousin Tad. The beach was the perfect scene for lots of crawling, splashing, sand eating, and toddling--it was also ideal for a cold swim as far as E was concerned.
