We are Moving!
Hey everyone: For various reasons (work email migration, login issues, problems with blogger, etc.), I think we need to move this blog. Please bookmark, subscribe, redirect, relink, or just plan visit www.howellsthompson.com And if you have any issues or problems, please comment OVER THERE or email at howellsthompson@gmail.com This has been a bit frustrating this week so let me know if there are issues I need to address and I will try and figure out what the hell I am doing!!!! I may not be able to get into this blogspot blog and edit after Monday. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And as an incentive, I'll post some new always adorable pictures of Elsie and Kit over there right now...
Why is nothing ever easy?
UPDATE: Oh and I know that the titles aren't working... That will take some time so "my team" is working on that! :) Also, if you got there and it seems ok, I would love to hear that too! www.howellsthompson.com

Playdate Fun for Young at Heart

So while the beach vacation is excellent for children, lest we not forget that it also serves a much-needed, though less-heralded, and perhaps less-attended to function for the young at heart. As always, the adults reveled in the cocktail hour on the beach and the post-kiddie bedtime dinner and fun time.
Chris and Jenn, as always, served as a great double date!

Traditions

While no one but Chris could calculate how many years we have been doing this, 4, 5, whatever, we carried on many fine traditions including: major girl time, swimming, beach time and sand fun, bike rides, Salty Dog ice cream and cocktails, sports finales, and refereeing minor quarrels... We found that all of these have become more robust and enjoyable over the years... except maybe the last... :)

Happy Father's Day Sweet D!
Given that we were moving households after two weeks at Hilton Head, we surprised Daddy with a surprise Father's Day last Sunday--complete with various little gifties, an appointment for a massage, and a breakfast in bed, not to mention a day at the beach! It was a much more relaxing way to celebrate than packing, cleaning, traveling, unpacking, and addressing household matters after being away--but we did take time for a sweet treat this afternoon and I snapped a few of David and his girls. Celebrating David as daddy just reminds us how every day gives us a reason to celebrate.
So we are back.... vacation pics to follow...

Big Girl
Here is our big girl napping for the first time in a big girl bed one afternoon a few weeks ago at Hilton Head. She is becoming so big and I see that she is on the verge of lots of big steps such as setting up a big girl room and bed--also, the talking is glorious and her voice is incredibly sweet... the pabby freeing and potty training I do not celebrate quite so glowingly.
