Elsie-isms

Really it is more about the words than the pictures right now. She moves fast--she gets bumps and bruises--the pictures end up looking more artsy than accurate. But the words--I can capture a few of the words here.

There are favorites: Hi, OK, Oskey, Come ere, park, stroller, water, cup, No, Stop

There are multi-syllabic wonders: helicopter, aeroplane, alligator, avocado

There are names (and nicknames): Elaine (Nonie), Grammy (Gammie), Aunt Barbara (Bawbwa), Bryce (Byce), Kate (Kiki), Camille (Mille), Quesadilla (Dilla), David (D)--at full volume.

There are something like homophones: "Sickle" for bicycle or popsicle, "pinch" for shoe pinching or tooth pain, "all done" for anything she doesn't want to do anymore--eating, staying in her crib, dressing, talking

There are adorable speech impediments: TV (TB), DVD (DBD), covers (cubbers)

There are Nonie-isms, now Elsie-isms: OK, There it go, Whassup?

There are words of the day (an obsession repeated incessantly for brief periods of time until the next word of the day arises): clown, fireworks, Jesus, helmet, scary, Capers, the letter "s", the number 2, the color blue, the color yellow, the color green

There are sentences that ring of genius: I sorry, IEEYou (translated) I love you
