We knew she was special. This was confirmed when we went to buy Elsie her first pair of shoes: she has a shallow heel, a high bridge, and a monkey toe. (If you have seen her parents' feet, this comes as no surprise!) Once diagnosed, we left Striderite $50 poorer with these snazzy walking shoes for E's special little feet. And boy, do they give us 'tude: we walk and stomp and even 'tep on things so the family story goes.
