By the way....

And did I mention that E is walking? Boy, is she walking! It started right around her 11 month mark and it was a few steps here, a long stand there, and then every day more and more steps and then baby steps and then big steps and high steps and fast steps and on and on and everywhere. So we like to be chased and sometimes we like to chase. We have skinned knees. Our bum is sore from the requisite falls. And we think it is very very funny and walking makes us giggle!

Along with the walking, out tumbled the words. The first one was "uh oh" quite a while back and then "da da da" for lots of things including dad. And then "oca" for Oscar and "oo oo" for birds and "ahhh" after drinking and "nonay" for Elaine. Many of these are emphasized with pointing her little fat pointer finger (a trick learned from Lucy's visit we believe). There are words she knows and doesn't say: ball, car, Mr. Stripes. She can find these toys if you ask for them. Yesterday's word was a combo word for on and off: "Owp." When she wants to flip the light switch on and off, she says "owp" and points.

Of course, these are all action shots and freeze frame won't capture the delight of these moments. We'll try to work on the video function here for you one of these days....
