We went to Charleston this weekend to arrange Kit's marriage. We were an easy sell--all Ashley and Rod had to do was host us at their lovely home for the night and make us a super yummy dinner and ply us with drinks and let us sit on the Fulmer's porch overlooking the golf course on Picard Way for cocktails. We were eager to betroth Kit to Boyd at that point. The kids also seemed to get along well--Elsie and Emma were too busy playing to pose for pictures and here Boyd and Kit are riding off into the sunset. (Kit was willing to be shotgun in Boyd's golf cart but needed to pilot the firetruck all on her own!) With them off our hands, us in-laws can get back to really important matters like beer-margaritas and I see our future friendship as full as our past thirty or so years of friendship, right Ash?
